Immediate Office of the Chief of Naval Operations SUPERVISORY LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST of Navy Office of the Judge Advocate General (OJAG). Responsibilities You will perform a wide variety of supervisory, office management and administration duties. You will oversee all aspects of receiving, tracking and storage of records of trial received from Navy and Marine Corps Commands for review. You will manage and direct the daily intake and correction of records of trial for appellate review. You will work with director and staff non-commissioned-officer-in-charge to communicate the division's strategic plan to employees. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience should demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinating the provision of Records of Trial to the Navy-Marine Corps Court of Appeal; 2) Receiving, processing, assigning and tracking all courts-martial records of trial; 3) Managing and directing the daily intake and correction of records of trial for appellate review; 4) Supervising the formal closing of records of trial at the conclusion of the appellate process and the retirement of each record; 5) Conducting legal research and writing legal memoranda focused on all post-trial (courts-martial) matters.
