Naval Sea Systems Command Program Manager in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve in a Program Management position as the Principal Assistant Program Manager for Systems Integration (PMS 378S) in the New Construction Aircraft Carriers Program Office of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE CARRIERS. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the application of program management techniques to the technical attributes of the FORD Class aircraft carriers. You will supervise project managers in developing, organizing analyzing, executing and monitoring planned requirements including training, mentoring, and fostering a diverse work force. You will develop and execute long-range program plans and requirements for FORD Class Technical issues along with SEA 05V. You will work with the shipbuilder and key stakeholders to employ an optimal resolution of technical issues, balancing cost, schedule and quality. You will defend budget submissions to ASN (RD+A) and to Congress, justifying program requirements. You will develop budget planning, and execution plan development processes. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading the development of budget or financial plans for a ship or submarine weapon systems program. The NH-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS 14-15 grade levels. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
