Naval Sea Systems Command PROGRAM ANALYST in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Surface Ship Maintenance Modernization & Sustainment Directorate, Surface Ship Readiness Program of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will coordinate efforts across NAVSEA Program Offices, field activities, Industry, and other agencies to ensure support of Bridge Integration and/or Steering Control System Configuration Management Plan and Configuration Control Boards (CCB). You will support the review and authorization of proposed changes via the CCB. You will support strategic program planning and short and long-term program objectives. You will establish and maintain baselines for all Bridge and/or Ship Control configuration items. You will support the resolution of broad programmatic and sustainment issues and recommend path to implement strategic plans within and across organizational components. You will support the analysis of required metrics and information specific to the program plans. You will assist with risk management implementation for integration and design related issues, including risk identification and mitigation. You will assist with identification of complex technical issues including plans to resolve and mitigate associated risks. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-03 (GS-13) equivalency pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: "executing program management efforts for Surface Fleet - Ship Control Systems (SCS) to ensure quality, cost, schedule and/or technical requirements are met." Education Additional Information This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. This hiring activity, within Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) Headquarters, has converted to the Acquisition Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) which is an alternate personnel system. This position has a control point; thus, the salary range for this position is capped at GS-15, step 05 which is currently equivalent to $189,950. If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
