  • Must stand, walk, and use hands to handle materials
  • Required to use measuring instruments, add chemicals, and record data accurately
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close/distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Required to read and interpret production orders and safety, operating, maintenance, and procedure manuals
  • Must have basic knowledge of math, math equations and use of various measuring instruments
  • Must work a full-time schedule and overtime as required
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must have problem solving skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work with others

Fundamental Duties:

  • Measure and label test strips for processing
  • Mark and label sheets for Shear tests
  • Identify and mark defects
  • Calculate proper etch rates/removals per customer specifications
  • Pull and maneuver titanium sheets through the pickle tank
  • Load and unload skids with forklift from tables
  • Safely fill a new acid tank with Hydroflouric acid and/or nitric acid or DeSmut per Standard Work Procedure (SWP)
  • Maintain and record temperature of the acid tank and caustic and pH levels for scrubber
  • Safely operate dryer
  • Safely maintain HR and Nitric Acid levels to tanks
  • Provide daily acid samples
  • Safely discharge spent acid or water from tanks
  • Use micrometer, thickness gauge (vidigauge), and tape measure to measure thickness and dimensions before and after etching process to ensure correct removal has been achieved
  • Training of other employees
  • Other duties as assigned
