Staff Clinician & Coordinator of Outreach Services - Counseling and Psychiatric Service – Georgetown University
The central mission of Georgetown’s Counseling and Psychiatric Service (CAPS) (https://studenthealth.georgetown.edu/mental-health/) is to collaborate directly with students and the campus community. CAPS is dedicated to helping students develop greater self-understanding, identify and solve problems, and improve academic performance through the alleviation of psychological, emotional, and cognitive barriers.
Job Overview
The Staff Clinician & Coordinator of Outreach Services oversees and advises Lighthouse, Georgetown University’s peer support group.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage outreach requests
Create and facilitate signature preventative outreach programming on behalf of CAPS to the campus community
Streamline materials for standard UCC outreach - such as stress management
Liaise with University offices in case of specific outreach requests
Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation
The Staff Clinician & Coordinator of Outreach Services interacts with students and with other University offices.
This position has been designated as Hybrid. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Requirements and Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psych licensed or license eligible in the District within one year of hire
Master’s degree in Social Work or Licensed Professional Counselor licensed at the start of hire
Preferred Qualification
Experience in a UCC and/or outreach programming
