Description
My client is looking for a Staff Accountant to fill their open position for their organization in Washington, DC. This organization is based within the non-profit industry and the opportunity will be hybrid. The ideal candidate for the Staff Accountant role will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger accounts, reconciling various accounts, assisting with the month end close process, posting journal entries and assisting with other ad hoc projects. This non-profit organization offers great benefits, work-life balance, and opportunity for growth.
Daily responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include:
· Perform month-end close.
· General ledger maintenance.
· Reconcile various accounts.
· Prepare financial statements.
· Research and maintaining compliance US GAAP.
Requirements
The ideal Staff Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:
· 1+ years of accounting experience.
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
· Understanding of US GAAP.
· Non-profit experience, preferred.
