Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Solution Sales Executive with a proven track record selling Student Systems to higher education institutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cultivating relationships with key decision-makers such as Registrars, Provosts, Presidents, CFOs, CIOs, VPs of Enrollment Management, and senior leadership within State Systems. As a trusted advisor, you will demonstrate your existing relationships to drive sales and expand our footprint in the higher education market.

What you’ll do

  • Identify and prioritize key accounts and decision-makers within colleges and universities.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth within the higher education sector.

  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key decision-makers, including Registrars, Provosts, Presidents, CFOs, CIOs, VPs of Enrollment Management, and senior leadership within State Systems. As a trusted advisor to these key collaborators, understand their needs and position our solutions to meet their strategic priorities.

  • Partner with Account Managers throughout the sales process from prospecting and qualification to contract negotiation and closure.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions that address the unique needs of each institution.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, marketing, and customer success to ensure successful implementation and adoption of our solutions.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to advise product development and sales strategies.

  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management.

  • Lead presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations with prospective clients.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory changes that may impact the higher education market.

  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing insights and guidance to both clients and internal partners.

  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • 10+ years of ERP, EPM, SCM, CX, or HCM enterprise-level sales experience

  • A successful track record of meeting/exceeding annual sales quotas

  • The ability to penetrate accounts and meet with collaborators within accounts at C-suite and LOB

  • Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle’s competitors

  • Strong collaborative and communication skills

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills with prospects/customers

  • The flexibility to travel as needed

Responsibilities

Primary job duty is to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers. Lead sales through forecasting, account prioritization, account strategy, and planning. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application. Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition. Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.

US: Hiring Range: from $93,000 to $185,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 45/55 - 50/50.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
