Here’s your chance to join our award-winning agency, ICF Next. We’re changemakers, a community of mission driven creatives, communicators, strategists, and technologists. We’re searching for a S ocial Media Specialist . As a * * S ocial Media Specialist , you will: 

  • Manage a large-scale federal government client’s social media presence, as part of a team, and identify and implement creative ways to connect with and engage audiences.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement and drive social media platform growth

  • Research, craft,edit, and publish high-quality andengaging social media copy and content across platforms featuring announcements, reports, publications, press releases, website content, job postings, and press events; at times on complex and controversialsubjects

  • Collaborate with teams to ensure consistency in messaging and brand voice across platforms

  • Plan, organize, and schedule social media content; organize and update digital media content calendar, event calendar, and social media scheduling calendar; ensure strategies are aligned with overall priorities

  • Monitor social media channels to trends, insights, and conversations relevant to the client

  • Track, analyze, and report data and performance using relevant metrics and tools;draw actionable insights to grow social platforms and increase audience engagement

  • Drive innovation and growth by experimenting with new strategies, content formats, and platforms

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree ina related field

  • Five years of experience as a social media strategist

  • Five years proficiency in a variety of social media management tools and analytic platforms

  • Able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance (federal government background check)

Required Skills and E xperience:

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, their audiences, and best practices

  • Superior storytelling experience

  • Ability to coordinate storytelling across social media platforms

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, emerging platforms, and changes in algorithms

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Proficiency in the following Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferr ed Experience:

  • Experience supporting a government or federal agency

Job Location: Remote but may occasionally be requested to be onsite for meetings in D.C.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$52,488.00 - $89,230.00
