Breakthru Beverage Group Senior Program Manager, Syndicated Data & Analytics in Washington, District Of Columbia

Overview

The Senior Program Manager of Syndicated Data & Analytics drives the strategic direction and execution of all syndicated data workstreams, encompassing product ownership, vendor partnerships, change management in alignment with internal and external BI systems, and user adoption across BBG. As a visionary leader, you will spearhead data acquisition strategies to optimize BBG’s topline growth across all stakeholder teams while advancing data centralization efforts to achieve substantial bottom-line efficiencies. Your leadership will be pivotal in transforming BBG’s data capabilities into a competitive advantage, fostering innovation and excellence throughout the organization.

This position can be based from most Breakthru Beverage offices to operate in a hybrid capacity (two days in the office and three days from home).

Responsibilities

  1. Product Ownership and Vendor Centralization: Exercise end-to-end product ownership, assist in training curriculum development, and adoption across all users and stakeholders. Drive continuous efforts to centralize remaining vendors and newsletters.

  2. Lead Breakthru’s Syndicated Data Strategy: Serve as Breakthru’s foremost expert in the syndicated data landscape. Continuously assess market opportunities against syndicated data investment options to provide strategic investment recommendations. Rigorously evaluate potential vendors to identify the highest-value opportunities on an ongoing basis.

  3. Leverage Syndicated Data for Strategic Projects: Utilize syndicated data in high-profile company projects to gain market share and achieve competitive advantage. Lead efforts to disseminate syndicated insights across the organization, empowering all associates with data-driven knowledge to enhance decision-making and drive business success.

  4. Internal Cross-Functional Project Management: Lead a cross-functional project team to build internal products featuring syndicated data. Guide the project lifecycle related to syndicated data, including communicating vision, building alignment, managing timelines, communicating successes, leading a successful launch plan, and measuring value. Internal stakeholders include IT, Business Intelligence, Sales, Commercial, Trade Development and Executive Leadership.

  5. Vendor Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strategic relationships through regular touchpoints with key syndicated data partners. Lead regular reviews of new and upgraded capabilities and tools to ensure BBG remains at the forefront of data utilization.

  6. Training and Knowledge Management: Act as the internal syndicate data super user to help elevate Breakthru’s syndicated data literacy and application. Oversee syndicated data report building and dashboard development to ensure data accessibility and usability.

  7. Report and Dashboard Development: Spearhead the development and maintenance of standardized and ad-hoc reports, as well as PowerBI dashboards, to drive efficiency and data-driven decision-making. Enhance BI/data systems for key syndicated data sources, ensuring seamless integration with Breakthru data.

  8. Company-Wide Change Management and Analyst Engagement: Develop and implement change management road maps for all commercial associates (sales, trade development, analytics, commercial strategy, etc) to elevate syndicated data usage and drive data-based decision making. Hold a leadership role in Breakthru’s Analytic Center of Excellence to provide communication, change management, troubleshooting, and best practice sharing. Act as a cross-functional linkage to internal data and platforms, serving as a key integration touchpoint.

  9. Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field or equivalent work experience (Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics/Engineering)

  • Minimum of 7 years’ of experience in an analytical role within sales/marketing, finance, business strategy, or a related function

  • Professional experience using syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, etc.) is required. Professional experience using consumer, shopper research or category management

  • Demonstrated expertise in multiple sales reporting systems (e.g. PowerBI, Connected Excel).

  • Demonstrated business acumen, sound business judgment, and the ability to provide relevant, actionable, data-driven advice to management

  • Strong leadership, project management and communications skills. Ability to influence without direct authority; excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with high level executive partners across a broad organization to drive insight-driven workstreams. Must be able to operate independently and establish consensus across key stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, passion for problem solving and strong diagnostic skills.

  • Ability to think critically, both quantitatively and qualitatively.

  • The ability to work independently and/or with a team, and a consultative and customer-oriented approach to work.

  • Must be attentive to detail, and able to reconcile multiple databases to identify discrepancies.

  • Must be results oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as strong customer service skills.

  • Excellent PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in business or a related field

  • Professional experience with beverage alcohol, consumer package goods, or business intelligence or consulting services

Physical Requirements:
