As part of the Energy, Resilience and Sustainability (ERS) Division, you will collaborate with experts to provide comprehensive policy, planning, and implementation services to deliver solutions that address critical infrastructure resilience and security issues and support the military mission, while reducing environmental impacts. The ERS Division is seeking a highly motivated Senior Principal Program Manager to support a Department of the Defense clients focused on public works, utilities and energy issues. A successful candidate will enjoy leading a small team of experienced professionals to contribute to the development and implementation of strategies and solutions focused on enhancing energy, water and cyber resilience. You will be involved in leading all factors that govern program technical success to ensure high-quality delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters. You will lead regular client interactions and be the primary point of contact responsible for all program execution. This is a client-site position, with future potential to work remotely while participating in some in-person client and team meetings and/or site visits. Some travel is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the program and oversee all technical aspects of the program
- Lead communications with the Government to provide program status updates and program issues via regular communication
- Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and subject matter expertise to program and project staff.
- Supervise technical staff ensure consistent submission of high-quality products to government clients
- Support high-paced, senior level offices and help drive multi disciplined programs and integration strategies
- Manage successful contract performance to include resource management, leveling, demand signals, and budget forecasting and management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.
Basic Qualifications:
- M.S., M.A., or M.B.A. plus 10 years directly related experience
- A minimum of ten (10) years of similar experience supporting DoD Public Works, Energy, Facilities, or Utilities Programs
- Proven experience in facility-level energy and water management, energy resilience issues, and strategy planning
- Demonstrated experience managing a contract comparable to a Public Works or utilities support contract with regular work products delivered under tight deadlines in a heavy workload setting
- Ability to manage and work in teams, and establish and maintain cross-functional and working relationships across multi disciplined teams
- Capability to independently initiate and manage tasks, with a high degree of detail and process orientation
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management, program management, follow through and communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Common Access Card (CAC)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Navy structure and operations
- Energy policy/regulation development, implementation, and/or oversight at a federal level, preferably within the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy, or the Department of Homeland Security
- PE, Certified Energy Manager and/or Program Management certifications
