Summary:

Were seeking a forward-thinking, proactive Safety Specialist to lead the charge in transforming and enhancing our safety culture. In this role, youll be a key player in designing and implementing safety initiatives that not only meet but exceed OSHA 1926 and 1910 standards, along with other federal, state, and local regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

``` - Lead regular job site audits to guarantee FMCCs unwavering commitment to OSHA standards and our own rigorous safety protocols, - Identify potential risks and develop actionable solutions to elevate workplace safety and compliance across all divisions, - Spearhead the rollout of cutting-edge safety programs, policies, and procedures that align with FMCCs mission to lead in safety innovation, - Ensure adherence to specialized safety protocols for heavy equipment, construction sites, and public road operations, - Coordinate and deliver impactful training sessions to build safety awareness, focusing on hazard analysis, PPE requirements, and FMCCs pioneering safety standards, - Guide new employees through a comprehensive safety orientation, setting the foundation for a culture of vigilance and compliance, - Respond swiftly to incidents, conducting meticulous investigations to identify root causes and provide forward-looking solutions, - Compile detailed reports and track corrective actions, aligning with FMCCs robust incident handling policy to prevent recurrence, - Collaborate on collecting safety performance metrics to drive strategic improvements, - Support monthly safety performance reporting, offering insights that guide executive leadership in decision-making and trend analysis, - Partner with division heads, superintendents, and the Safety Department to resolve site-specific safety challenges and share best practices, - Work with HR to ensure regulatory compliance and the legal robustness of all safety policies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, - Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response protocols to ensure FMCCs readiness for any scenario, from spills to severe weather conditions, - Act as a first point of contact during emergencies, coordinating effective responses with safety teams and external agencies, - May be required to work extended hours including evenings, nights, and weekends, - Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
