Responsibilities As a/n Research and Analysis Manager, some of your typical work assignments may include: Leading and guiding a team of technical writers in producing clear, concise, and accurate documentation related to technical matters under FERC’s jurisdiction, including natural gas infrastructure, electricity markets and transmission, hydroelectric infrastructure, FERC procedures, and other relevant topics. Overseeing the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data from various sources. Collaborating with analysts and other OPP staff to develop comprehensive reports and actionable insights for decision-makers within OPP. Planning, executing, and monitoring research, analysis, and reports to achieve deliverables within set timelines and budgets. Conducting thorough reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, clarity, and compliance. Implementing best practices in project management and leading the team in adhering to established protocols. Providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members. Fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and excellence. You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience leading or supervising individuals or teams in technical writing, data analysis, and project management. The ideal candidate will lead in producing high-quality documentation, ensure adherence to standards, and optimize resource utilization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
