Jacobs Power BI Developer / Data Scientist (REMOTE) in Washington, District Of Columbia
Your Impact:
We are seeking a Power BI Developer/Data Scientist who will be tasked with building dashboards and visualizations in support of Treasury initiatives. Must have an understanding of how to leverage Microsoft’s analysis services as a data source to support development objectives, an understanding of PowerBI User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) standards and best practices, and an understanding of NIST controls (AC-6) for least privilege and local EDM security access control procedures.
Responsibilities:
In-depth knowledge of Power BI, including proficiency in creating, modifying, and managing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models
Data Modeling: Strong understanding of data modeling principles, such as dimensional modeling and star schemas, to design efficient and scalable data models within PowerBI
Data Visualization: Proficiency in creating visually appealing and intuitive dashboards and reports using various visualization techniques and best practices in PowerBI
DAX (Data Analysis Expressions): Proficient in writing and optimizing DAX formulas for calculations, data aggregations, and defining relationships between tables within PowerBI
SQL Development: Proficient in SQL and database technologies, experience with large-scale data projects and query optimizations
