Koniag Emerging Technologies LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Technology Administrator to support the implementation, design, development, and maintenance of various systems and programs across various Department of State (DOS) posts and domestic programs. This role requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems/Technology Management, or a related field, along with a minimum of ten years of experience in the technology field and four to seven years of experience conducting administration and maintenance duties.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

The Information Technology Administrator will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Aid in implementing various systems ranging from newly established systems at various DOS posts to domestic programs such as Microsoft SharePoint.

• Assist in the design and development of systems and programs, providing technical expertise and guidance.

• Facilitate testing, defect resolution, and user acceptance, ensuring the quality and functionality of the systems.

• Troubleshoot issues when authorized, providing prompt and effective solutions to technical problems.

• Optimize content for indexing and searching, ensuring efficient and user-friendly access to information.

• Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning, ensuring the continuity and security of systems and data.

• Assist in describing, planning, and scheduling project deliverables, goals, and milestones, contributing to successful project management.

• Identify and resolve project issues, addressing any challenges or roadblocks in a timely and effective manner.

• Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills, effectively interacting with stakeholders and users.

• Assist in defining resources and schedules for project implementation and completion, contributing to efficient resource allocation and timeline management.

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Education:

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology Management, or a related field.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• A minimum of ten years of experience in the technology field.

• Four (04) to seven (07) years of experience conducting administration and maintenance duties.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• For a position in the U.S., must be a U.S. Citizen or legal U.S. resident; for a position outside the U.S., any citizenship (U.S., Third Country National (TCN), and Local National (LN)) is allowable.

The Information Technology Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation, design, development, and maintenance of various systems and programs across various DOS posts and domestic programs. With extensive experience in the technology field and administration and maintenance duties, the successful candidate will contribute to the successful implementation, optimization, and support of critical systems and programs, ensuring their functionality, security, and user-friendliness.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
