Executive Assistant - Cyber SMART Research Center - Georgetown University Law Center

Job Overview

The Executive Assistant provides administrative support to the Cyber SMART Research Center (Cyber SMART) at Georgetown Law.

Cyber SMART is a National Science Foundation (NSF) Industry University Collaborative Research Center (IUCRC) and the first IUCRC to strategically combine all relevant disciplines to cyber research. With its Lead Site at Georgetown University, Cyber SMART currently includes the University of Notre Dame as a Partner Site and there are plans to add new U.S. and international University Sites from 2023.

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation

Reporting to the Center Executive Director, the Executive Assistant works with the Center’s Core leadership team led by the Center Director.

They also collaborate with Center and Site Faculty, researchers and University Site staff; and with external public and private sector organizations that are the Center’s members and affiliates.

This position has been designated as Telework. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Such review may necessitate a change to a position’s mode of work designation. Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalency [note: consideration will be given to equivalent and relevant experience in an administrative and coordination role]

  • At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant/Administrative Assistant

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong ability to prioritize, multitask and innovate, especially to streamline processes and improve efficiency

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as WordPress and website management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in working with university policies, systems, and procedures or the like

  • Experience with NSF or other research grant reporting requirements or the like

  • Experience in coordinating with Faculty, researchers and staff across multiple Universities or the like

  • Experience in budget management

  • Experience in website management

    The expected pay range for this position is $47,586 to $87,558 per year.Georgetown University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity and external market pay for comparable jobs.
