Hogan Lovells Docketing Clerk in Washington, District Of Columbia

The Docketing Clerk is a valued member of our Docketing and Court Services team and works under the direct supervision of the Docketing and Court Services Manager supporting the department with expertise in firm-wide docketing. The Docketing Clerk provides docketing coverage for all U.S. jurisdictions in a timely and accurate fashion.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The positions primary responsibilities include:

  • Monitor litigation inboxes for U.S. offices including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Washington, D.C., and Miami;

  • Gain knowledge of and effectively use the Firms docketing system, CompuLaw;

  • Review documents to determine deadlines and make entries in the Firms docketing system;

  • Generate various docket and calendar reports;

  • Coordinate multiple projects and shift priorities as needed;

  • Handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality;

  • Troubleshoot for any docketing concerns or issues;

  • Provide information and technical support to attorneys, paralegals, and assistants;

  • Electronically file documents in Federal and State Courts, Nationwide;

  • Practice flexibility in adjusting work hours necessary to meet operating and business needs;

  • Assist with theoverall management of team inboxes to ensure timely delivery of tasks;

  • Extract information from court websites and internet websites;

  • Participate in our Global Responsible Business Program;

  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;

  • Excellent attention to detail;

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with or without direct supervision

  • Coordinate multiple projects, individually and amongst a team;

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF programs;

  • Must display a willingness to make decisions and exhibit sound and accurate judgment;

  • Willingness to pursue training and developmental opportunities; and

  • Flexibility and willingness for overtime.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Three (3)+ years of docketing experience.

  • Bachelors degree required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Knowledge of the Firms docketing system, CompuLaw, or comparable docketing software.

HOURS

In

New York, core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET, including one hour for lunch. Must be flexible for overtime and be able to adjust hours as needed to meet business needs.

D.C., core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET, including one hour for lunch. Must be flexible for overtime and be able to adjust hours as needed to meet business needs.

In

New York, the annualized salary range for this position is $76,000 to $92,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

In

D.C., the annualized salary range for this position is $71,000 to $85,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
