FANNIE MAE Director - Multifamily Underwriting Policy and Reporting (Flexible Hybrid) in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description In this compelling leadership position, you will lead efforts on managing communications and/or negotiations between Fannie Mae and clients regarding loans and other investments. In this role, you will lead underwriting and reviewing the issuance of securities to customers, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, policies, processes, procedures, and standards.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Director - Multifamily Underwriting Policy and Reporting role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Direct team efforts and processes to gather information about potential risks and costs involved with providing services to a customer and assist leadership with process improvement

  • Oversee lending decision process and make recommendations to leadership for process improvement and modifications

  • Direct process on issuance of the securities or other financial loans to the customer, as well as make recommendations to leadership on process changes

  • Direct team efforts to evaluate the impact of proposed risks to the enterprise and identifying opportunities for delegation of credit activities

  • Develop reporting to monitor acquisition data trends in order to determine to determine credit risk appetite

Qualifications THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experience

  • 8 years of relevant experience

Desired Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Multifamily underwriting experience

  • Skilled in financial analysis

  • Must be able to leverage ratios

  • Experience with Loan application evaluation

  • Loan management skills

  • Property analysis experience

  • Risk assessment and management skills

  • Risk mitigation experience

  • Multifamily underwriting data analysis skills

  • Skilled in Excel, Tableau
