The Role
Leads a team that drives the execution of product development efforts for Lumen products and services. Develops close working relationships cross organizationally with Engineering, Architecture, Process, Customer Experience, Marketing, Sales, Legal, and others to develop, test and successfully launch new products and enhancements or expansions to existing products. This role requires extensive program management experience and an ability to take complex subjects and communicate and present them at the right level of detail for Lumen employees, and most importantly, senior level leadership.
The Main Responsibilities
Meet or exceed committed business outcomes, including financial performance, customer experience and employee experience goals and objectives
Lead team(s) to the on-scope, on-time and on-budget delivery of Company’s Product Solutions
Fosters teamwork and collaboration as a member of the leadership team to achieve the organizational goals, objectives and priorities as tied to the strategic plan.
Proactively resolves product portfolio roadmap conflicts or escalations when conflicts cannot be resolved without impact to other projects.
Identifies ways to phase programs such that optimal path is taken to deliver business value or to accelerate time to market.
Applies discipline in communicating portfolio status proactively and frequently based on criticality of each project.
Oversees the development of product roadmaps that align with customers, Lumen and partner priorities.
Communicates context for business decisions.
Exerts a high level of influence in stakeholder relations, defining optimal delivery timelines, directing the team's activities, tracking performance and maintaining the team's alignment with programs and portfolio goals.
Builds a high-performance team. Hires, trains, and retains the right talent in the right roles. Sets goals, delegates work, holds reports accountable. Develops and empowers direct reports to make decisions and act.
Directly manages one or more teams of Product Development Managers and/or business test resources in their oversight of individual new product launch and enhancement initiatives; Each with a significant impact to Lumen’s revenue and sales objectives. These resources drive programs from Concept through development and launch phases, including business requirement definition, solutioning, development, testing and launch/marketing activities.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Education: Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree a Plus
Related Experience: 10+ Years Progressive, Related Experience in Product Development, Product Management, or Technology Development.

Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$128,310 - $171,080 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$135,060 - $180,080 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$141,820 - $189,090 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$148,570 - $198,080 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
