CORE DC Case Manager Supervisor in Washington, District Of Columbia
CASE MANAGER SUPERVISOR - Short-Term Family Housing
Hours of Work = Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm (one evening 11:00am to 7:30pm)
Salary Range = $60K - $67K
OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
- Attend and facilitate weekly multidisciplinary meetings and conduct on-site supervision of Case Managers, Housing Navigator, and Education and Employment Specialist.
- Ensure that Case Managers properly complete and submit Family Housing Stability Plans and case notes promptly.
- Conduct thorough periodic reviews of the programming teams case files and supportive documentation as required by the funding agency, company policies and procedures to ensure that the highest quality of care and treatment is rendered to the clients served.
- Collaborate with Case Managers and other members of the social services team to develop appropriate groups and other programs for residents.
- Develop and present in-service training for Case Managers and other program staff to ensure compliance with program rules and training requirements.
- Comply and manage monthly and quarterly programmatic reports for DHS and CORE DC
- Supervise assigned staff, to include performance management, and on-boarding employees in their role.
- Ensure that deadlines are met and that the work is of the highest quality.
- Other duties as assigned and/or required by the Program Director or designee. NECESSARY SKILLS:
- Familiar with behaviors, attitudes and issues facing homeless populations.
- Knowledge of community resources, associations and organizations addressing the issues of the population.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; excellent presentation skills.
- Must be culturally competent and sensitive towards diverse ethnic groups, cultural groups, and populations.
- Experience supervising staff and volunteers. PERFORMANCE EVALUATION CRITERIA:
- 100% engagement with Case Managers to include training, oversight, identification of client barriers, and solutions
- Ensure 100% compliance with timely case notes including data completeness and accuracy
- Ensure 95% of clients are connected to services, resources, and supports
- Conduct monthly client case reviews or as required by funder
- Bachelor's degree in social work or a related discipline required , masters degree in social work or a related discipline preferred. A minimum of 7 years of professional experience providing counseling and case management services in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional supervisory and/or managerial experience in the human services and/or social service delivery systems; preferred .
- Professional knowledge of the theories, principles, techniques, and practices of social service delivery systems is required .
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience providing counseling and case management services to individuals/families experiencing homelessness or other related populations as well as knowledge of child development and effective programming for children; required .
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some evenings; required.
