Johns Hopkins University Associate or Full Professor in the Politics of the Middle East/North Africa in Washington, District Of Columbia

Position

SAIS is seeking a senior faculty member (at the rank of Associate or Full Professor) in the politics of the Middle East/ North Africa, with a particular preference for candidates whose work focuses on the study of democracy, citizenship, migration, and/or autocratic governments. The position will be based at either of SAIS's campuses in Washington, D.C. or Bologna, Italy. This position will support both the Middle East and Governance Politics and Society focus areas at SAIS.

The candidate must have deep knowledge of contemporary history and politics of the Arab world, a distinguished record of publications and public engagement, strong professional connections to scholars, public officials and civil society in the Middle East, and with a preference for fluency in Arabic.
