This position involves working directly with clients to develop fleet optimization / electrification strategic plans, business cases, and cost/benefit and other analyses to maximize client value while also limiting risk.
This is a highly challenging position that draws heavily upon all the analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills essential to effective regulatory and general strategy consulting.
The role requires frequent communications with clients and coworkers while effectively sharing information.
Solution Delivery: This position will develop and deliver on-the-ground fleet optimization / electrification solutions that produce outcomes for clients through end-to-end, turnkey program models.
Primary responsibilities include:
Architect proposal development and participate in the sales cycle process.
Preparing and presenting analysis, reports, and other documents for internal and/or external client use.
Provide subject matter expertise for sales and delivery efforts.
Leading teams (small and large) for projects requiring multiple resources.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously within budget and schedule.
Mentoring and managing junior staff.
Solution Development: Leverage working knowledge of the commercial transportation industry to identify unmet needs and develop solution options.
Solution Delivery: Implement fleet optimization / electrification solution processes and procedures from startup through launch and steady-state operations including stakeholder engagement, marketing & outreach, data collection, and business process management (including call center services, application processing, and rebate disbursements).
Additional responsibilities for this position may include:
Strategic corporate and regulatory planning activities, including stakeholder engagement.
Cost-effectiveness analysis of transportation options in context of utility regulations and requirements.
Uncertainty and risk analysis.
Two year degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, Public Policy, or related fields AND 7 + years of commercial fleet industry experience, preferably with a logistics or other transportation services provider; Or Four year degree AND 5+ years of commercial fleet industry experience, preferably with a logistics or other transportation services provider.
Technical, policy, and/or financial understanding about the integration mobility solutions and energy markets.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong fleet industry network and executive level relationships to generate qualified leads for business development pursuits.
Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
Proposal writing experience including budget development and managing proposal timeline with a variety of subject matter experts providing input.
Able to travel via airplane with minimal assistance to client sites across the U.S. and potentially internationally.
Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare, analyze, and transmit data.
Familiarity working with the latest collaborative software platforms and tools that facilitate team collaboration.

Solution Delivery-experience delivering fleet optimization / alternate fuel implementation including electrification for private or public organizations.
Direct experience as a Fleet Manager or selling to Fleet Managers.
3-5 years of strategic and/or management consulting experience.
Strong understanding of emerging mobility technology product and service diffusion (e.g., automated driving, wireless charging, smart charging).
Working knowledge of some or all of the following: transportation market in the U.S. (global knowledge a plus), electrification options, how vehicles impact electricity markets, energy efficiency, renewable energy, alternative fuel adoption in the commercial vehicle industry, demand response, smart grid and related topics in North America (global knowledge a plus).
Business development experience managing a pipeline of six and seven figure engagements.
