Noblis Air Traffic Control Specialist in Washington, District Of Columbia
Responsibilities
The FAA’s System Engineering and Technical Innovative Solutions (SETIS) portfolio willprovidea broad range of Research, Service Analysis, Strategic Planning, Systems Engineering (SE), technical, financial, and programmatic support services that will enable the FAA toaccomplishits National Airspace System (NAS), Mission Support and other aviation-relatedobjectives.
This exciting and diverse work includes technical, financial, and programmatic support services, and other aviation-related support services that fall within the FAA’s Acquisition Management System (AMS) Lifecycle Management Policy activities, including but not limited to:
Systems engineering and integration,
Investment and business case analysis,
System acquisition program planning and management,
System development and implementation planning and management,
System Life Extension Program/Technical Refresh planning,
Program and contract management,
Forecasting and business/financial/information management
In addition, the candidate will be involved in Aviation, Innovation, and New Entrants related activities that fall outside the AMS Lifecycle Management Policy. This includes, but is not limited to research, analysis, and assessment supporting the development of systems, standards, policies, published rules, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Provideexpert analysistoAir Traffic Control Centers, Terminal Radar ApproachControl (TRACON) Towers,andAir Traffic Services (ATS) Headquarters and Regional officesin support of various Nextgen modernization initiatives.
Provide expert analysisto the FAA to support thedevelopment of site implementation and transition planning for National and Regional, Facilities and Equipment, and Capital Investment Planprojects.
Provide expert analysis to the FAA to helpidentify, analyze, coordinate, resolve, and reportthe resolution of implementation issues generated by Capital Investment Planprojects.
Demonstrate subject matterexpertisein air traffic control procedures, equipment,facilities,terminology andtechnology to business case and Investment, Planning, and Analysisteams.
Communicate complex knowledge of air traffic control todiverse audiences andin a manner thatsupportsa wide range ofanalysis.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must have active, full performance level (FPL) ATC experience in any of the following: Terminal, Enroute, Oceanic, Traffic Flow Management, or Flight ServiceStation;
Relevant training and/or certifications as an Air Traffic Controlleras well as proven work experience as an Air Traffic Controller or similarrole;
Familiarity withAir Traffic Controltechnology, including radio,computer, navigation, and weatherequipment;
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Work experience that is not relevant to the labor category definition will not be considered in the "Years of Relevant Experience" calculation.
Level 6:
0-2 years or prior relevant experiencerequired.
A college degree is notrequiredfor this position.
Equivalent experience in the U.S. Military or international control environment is acceptable.
Compensation: $56,000 - $98,000
Level 5:
2-6 years or prior relevant experiencerequired.
A college degree is notrequiredfor this position.
Equivalent experience in the U.S. Military or international control environment is acceptable.
Compensation: $56,000 - $130,400
Level 4:
6-10 years or prior relevant experiencerequired.
A college degree is notrequiredfor this position.
Equivalent experience in the U.S. Military or international control environment is acceptable.
Compensation: $90,300 - $190,900
Level 3:
10-15 years or prior relevant experiencerequired.
A college degree is notrequiredfor this position.

Compensation: $109,100 - $231,000
Level 2:
15-20 years or prior relevant experiencerequired.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
