Red River Account Manager III, Inside Sales in Washington, District Of Columbia
Red River’s Inside Sales Account Manager 3 position (ISAM 3) is a sales focused role that is responsible for supporting and contributing to the company’s sales goals along with providing top level customer service. The Inside Sales team works as the primary point of contact for Red River’s Account Executives and customers for all pre/post sale inquiries. The primary objectives of the Inside Sales position are to proactively drive sales opportunities while maintaining support for their Account Team(s) with a focus on 100% customer satisfaction.
Primary Position Tasks:
Commissioned Salesperson responsible for contributions to Account Team’s annual margin attainment with documented year over increases in annual margin attained in previous 2 years and year over year quality of margin improvement
Manages a dedicated customer account list
Proactively engaged in focused IT Sales Training events and actively pursuing internal and external opportunities to broaden experience in the industry.
Advocates for and takes sales leadership position negotiating with new OEM partnerships that are valuable to the company.
Coordinate and lead complex conference calls and (as needed) on-site meetings, leveraging internal and external resources
Trusted resource and active participant in company projects outside of dedicated sales role. Eligible for sales mentorship role.
Work closely with Capture Team on projects for your Account Team customers, leveraging industry contacts and acting as the primary point contact when forming Teaming Agreements with industry partners.
Team resource and advisor on projects for your colleagues’ opportunities
Quote activity will originate from RFQs, phone and e-mail prospecting, OEM leads, Face-to-Face meetings as needed and coordinated with Account Executive
Other business duties as assigned
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:
5+ years of Information Technology sales experience
Carries multiple OEM Sales Certifications as well as completion of technical and sales training courses
Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in the IT Sales Industry or equivalent. 4-year post-secondary degree or equivalent (degree is preferred but not required for position).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Professional phone skills used to host conference-calls, execute cold and warm calls and successfully develop key vendor relationships.
Professional writing skills with demonstrated experience communicating complex opportunity details to customers, vendors and OEM partners.
Expertise in solution selling techniques
The ability to work effectively without direct supervision
Ability to be creative and to self-motivate.
Expertise in the use of all required Red River business applications
Expertise and demonstrated experience with all Contract and Compliance protocols
Expertise in the application of Red River sales procedures and protocols
Expertise and demonstrated experience with the use of Red River staff resources such as the Support Services Team, Pre-Sales Engineering, Capture Team and Professional Services Team
Expertise and demonstrated experience in the use of customer, vendor and OEM resources
