Within CO+I, the Core Datacenter Services (CDS) team is responsible for advancing availability and efficiency for Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure. We have multiple teams focused on both Microsoft and Lessor datacenter performance and all aspects of datacenter utilization effectiveness that includes power, water and labor. We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager – Datacenter Supply Chain to support the Core Datacenter Supply Chain (CDSC) program, driving supply chain initiatives that enhance availability and operational resilience across Microsoft’s global datacenters.

This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.
Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates will need to relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.
This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.
Responsibilities
Drive improvements in supply chain workflows by implementing automation and best practices that reduce defects, enhance efficiency, and allow for global scalability.
Track and communicate end-to-end project schedules, holding stakeholders accountable for following the schedule.
Contribute to cross-team projects as needed to meet changing business requirements and manage business needs. Remain flexible in taking on new responsibilities and cross-team initiatives as priorities shift.
Proactively identify and address supply chain risks, working to preempt disruptions and secure resource availability across Microsoft’s global datacenters. Provide data-driven recommendations to key stakeholders based on identified risks. Define success criteria and create relationships for implementing multiple feature areas for crucial cross-functional projects. You’ll coordinate, ensure alignment, and gain buy-in across the business.
Deliver on the multi-year roadmap for multiple feature groups across divisions, lead tracking of project schedules, oversee development of staging and implementation plans, and oversee governance programs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to validate priorities and participate in prioritization decision making to deliver solutions in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
OR equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
4+ years of technical strategy, large-scale operations and/or program/project management experience in a cloud-based technology business or similar industry.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis,
OR equivalent experience.
6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
6+ years of experience in Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with often rapidly changing or ambiguous requirements.
Analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills, and attention to detail.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of cloud infrastructure and datacenter environments such as power, physical space, rack units, cooling, cable routing and management.
Extensive experience in program management methodologies, approaches, and tools (e.g. PMP/Six Sigma certification).
Proficiency in collaboration and communication tools and implementing structured file management systems within tools such as Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Loop, Microsoft Teams, and OneNote to keep teams efficiently working together.
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
