Those in Alliance at PwC will be responsible for establishing partnerships with companies to better serve our client’s needs. You will build relationships to complement PwC’s strategy through execution capabilities that allow PwC to deliver multi competency programmes and solve client’s most critical business issues. Working in this area, you will develop and execute the strategy and business plan, focus on market penetration and revenue growth, and identify opportunities for solution development and industry alignment. You will also build relationships with key Alliance executives, identify synergies between the technology and the Firm and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Your role is crucial in driving business growth, shaping the direction of client engagements, and mentoring the next generation of leaders. This AWS Alliance Director will help lead the AWS Alliance across various sectors. This role will focus on the overall AWS Alliance strategy as we go to market, driving PwC specific value propositions, strategic direction, and pipeline progression across the Alliance portfolio.

Demonstrates thought leader-level level abilities and proven expertise with, and/or a proven track record of success managing and growing full alliance lifecycle activities for strategic Alliance partnerships to create long term value and revenue, such as:

  • Act as one of the primary executive leaders and points of contact between PwC and strategic alliance partners, fostering effective collaboration, articulating shared value propositions, aligning strategic objectives, and driving impactful outcomes from the partnership;

  • Lead the development and execution of joint business strategies, including shared objectives, joint go-to-market (GTM) offerings, and initiatives aligned with PwC’s overarching growth strategy, while identifying and driving new opportunities for differentiation and market expansion;

  • Conduct annual and ongoing strategic planning sessions with alliance and Firm leaders, ensuring continuous alignment and adaptability to evolving market needs;

  • Facilitate and participate in focused, results-oriented engagements with senior executives across PwC and alliance organizations, ensuring alignment and actionable outcomes from quarterly business reviews, joint business planning sessions, demand generation efforts, and client pursuits;

  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with alliance senior leaders across sales, GTM, and product teams to ensure alignment on priorities and initiatives;

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the alliance organization structure, key executives' priorities, and their relationships with PwC, competitors, and joint accounts;

  • Develop and maintain robust relationship maps and translate relationship strengths and weaknesses into actionable business and account plans to enhance strategic relationships over time;

  • Provide relationship assessments with Firm Sector and Account teams to support joint account planning;

  • Define and communicate a compelling value proposition for the alliance, ensuring consistent and effective messaging internally and externally that reinforces the partnership’s strategic goals and market differentiation;

  • Collaborate with PwC marketing and alliance teams to design and execute joint GTM strategies, marketing campaigns, and demand-generation initiatives that amplify visibility, pipeline growth, and revenue for joint offerings;

  • Oversee and drive tactical execution of demand generation and marketing activities, focusing on increasing market visibility and revenue for joint offerings by fostering key relationships, enhancing joint pipeline and qualified opportunities, and progressing deals to wins;

  • Lead and participate in alliance joint cadences, and drive pre- and post-execution plans for events such as sales QBRs, sales kick-offs, joint webinars, industry conferences, client roundtables, and signature events;

  • Meet regularly with the alliance to review and adjust campaigns and activities and refine business plans as necessary;

  • Track and communicate results and ROI to leadership;

  • Coordinate cross-functional alignment with PwC Sector and Account teams, ensuring alliance strategies are seamlessly integrated into broader firm priorities and client engagements;

  • Coordinate and participate in joint account planning sessions with the Firm, alliance, and clients to drive strategic alignment and identify collaborative opportunities;

  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive complex, large-scale initiatives by aligning diverse stakeholders, synthesizing data into actionable insights, and delivering strategic outcomes in dynamic environments;

  • Lead joint enablement sessions, equipping PwC and alliance stakeholders with the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to effectively sell and deliver joint solutions;

  • Develop tailored enablement materials and oversee delivery to internal and external audiences, considering the audience and training objectives to ensure successful outcomes;

  • Monitor key performance metrics such as wins, revenue generated, joint deals in the pipeline, and the progress of joint initiatives to enable data-informed decision-making. Participate in compiling performance reports, scorecards, and performance readouts for leadership;

  • Drive operational efficiency by implementing process improvements, managing resource allocation, and optimizing workflows across budgets, billing, and collections to ensure alignment with operational objectives and maintain overall efficiency in alliance activities;

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and alliance advancements to inform strategy and maintain PwC’s market leadership.

  • Translate insights into actionable plans to capitalize on emerging opportunities and address risks proactively;

  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure a resilient and trusted partnership;

  • Serve as a mediator to resolve conflicts between PwC and alliance partners, maintaining momentum and minimizing disruptions;

  • Collaborate with Legal and Risk teams to establish and maintain compliance with contractual agreements, ensuring alignment with partnership objectives and risk management protocols;

  • Demonstrate exceptional executive communication skills by preparing and delivering tailored, impactful materials and presentations for C-suite and senior stakeholders, fostering trust, driving alignment, and ensuring clarity in complex strategic discussions;

  • In-depth understanding of the advisory and consultancy landscape;

  • Experience integrating partnerships as a strategic GTM lever and working towards partner revenue goals;

  • Highly credible communicator with excellent organization and project management skills and track record of delivering results;

  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with C-level executives and stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration to drive impactful, win-win outcomes and measurable business success;

  • Demonstrate a thorough level of knowledge utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint;

  • Demonstrate a thorough level of knowledge utilizing CRM systems (Salesforce) is an asset;

  • Ability to travel up to 30%; and,

  • Ability to travel internationally when needed.

The salary range for this position is: $122,500 - $495,500, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
