Description
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Act as main Supplier and Sr. Management window in negotiating and resolving costing, quality and delivery issues.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Represent YUSA in negotiating costing, lead times and tooling with suppliers
· Issue and track RFQ packets to current supply base
· Locate potential new vendors of materials or components and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales
· Participate in the development of specifications for products or substitute materials.
· Support to resolve supplier grievances and claims against YUSA.
· Support in the creation and control purchasing department budgets.
· Review and evaluate costing and other specifications for awarding business.
· Performs onsite assessments/audits at suppliers as needed
· Monitor supplier development activities to assure supplier readiness
· Prepare and issue monthly reports for Sr. Management review and approval
· Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of YUSA
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Requirements
DESCRIPTION OF QUALIFICATIONS:
*Education: *Bachelors or equivalent experience in a related field
*Experience: *Prior Purchasing experience preferred. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint abilities. Ability to read, understand and envision component drawings.
