Job Summary

Sales management of the Thomas product portfolio within the designated region, currently Eastern Europe (primarily targeting Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Turkey). The growth and development of new and existing business in this area is paramount in this role. Furthermore, the Territory Sales Manager role involves generating new business across all customer segments, with a specific focus on OEMs, and covers all sectors of the targeted and applicable markets. The objective is to achieve agreed sales targets by working with the internal sales team to grow the business throughout the territory, engaging both existing and new customers. Reporting to the EU Sales Manager, this role includes selling the entire portfolio of Thomas products, services, systems, and solutions, as well as cross-selling synergistic products within the IR portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the appointed sales territory - ensuring good sales growth in line with the agreed growth plan.

  • Ensuring regular customer visits.

  • Negotiate key issues, providing assistance in bringing projects to fruition.

  • Building and supporting strategic focus initiatives.

  • Ensuring follow-up of qualified sales leads and responding accordingly within the designated time limits.

  • Organising strategic sales plans for the territory.

  • Providing on-time monthly reports as required by Management. Ensuring that all administration is efficiently dealt with.

  • 100% compliance with the Ingersoll Rand SDX initiative including the use of SalesForce.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Home-based. Travel expected 60% of the time within the territory.

Special assignments possible globally.

Key Competencies

  • A degree or it is equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, or a related Technical subject. Moreover, sales training is a plus!

  • 5+ years’ experience in a technical sales environment.

  • Full professional proficiency in English language. Other language would be a plus, especially German.

  • Valid driving licence.
