Nielsen is embarking on a transformational journey to modernize and streamline its end-to-end procurement processes. We need a skilled analyst to help our teams navigate these changes. The Procurement Analyst will develop and execute sourcing plans for professional services (Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, etc.) while maintaining strategic supplier relationships and end-to-end ownership of key contracts.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the assessment, selection, negotiation, and execution of contracts and relationship management of providers of externally contracted services to Nielsen, including Outsourced Contractors.
Responsibilities
Align Nielsen enterprise professional services strategy with effective procurement category strategies that deliver best-in-class products and services at the lowest possible cost.
Gain support and execute the global professional services sourcing strategy
Lead the strategic procurement activities involving the assessment, selection, negotiation and management for externally contracted services.
Negotiate requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and enterprise policies.
Nurture stakeholder relationships by serving as a business partner, helping identify critical business requirements and providing sourcing and procurement services that meet expectations.
Proactively identify areas of opportunity for new business opportunities, process improvement, procedures and/or systems to improve organizational efficiencies and cost controls.
Provide insight into how to best develop and leverage supplier capabilities to meet business needs.
Drive Total Cost of Ownership reductions for categories through analytics.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus 2-5 years of experience in professional services procurement with expertise in driving cost saving initiatives and other desired business outcomes
Experience/ Passionate in Professional Services Procurement space
Experience developing and implementing category strategy leading to year-over-year KPI improvement (for example cost savings, diversity spend, sustainability etc.)
Prior experience in the sourcing event management (RFX management): Scoping & Planning, Detailed Requirements Definition & SOW Development, Evaluation & Selection, Negotiation & Contract Award, Implementation, Relationship & Contract Management, and Contract Transition & Termination
Good understanding of product offerings and/or experience negotiating enterprise agreements with large professional services suppliers
A desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Ability to multi-task is critical for success in this role.
Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously with potentially conflicting tight deadlines
Working knowledge of Ariba, Power BI, or other P2P platforms or spend analytics applications
