Stryker Payments Senior Specialist (Accounts Payable) in Warsaw, Poland

This is a temporary 1 year contract with possibility of extension.

The mission of the Payments Senior Specialist is to ensure that payments are made timely, accurately, respecting company policies and compliance.

Key activities and accountabilities

The responsibilities of this professional include but are not limited to the following:

  • Process payments daily (manual, batch, payroll, taxes, cash pooling) with compliance and deadlines

  • Provide proof of payments, research historical activities, and provide supporting documentation on request

  • Forecast payments and monthly funding of all local bank accounts (including intercompany)

  • Support answers to audit queries, provide assistance and support to other teams

  • Participate to project and automation development

  • Investigate and solve issues relating to rejected or returned payments

  • Actively participate in daily huddles and weekly team meetings

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Business and Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in Accounts payable or Accounting. Experience in payments/cash management is preferred

  • Fluency in English is mandatory

  • Familiar with Sarbanes Oxley Act and/or internal control concepts. Preferably familiar with USGAAP

Competencies

  • Experience in a multinational or shared service center is a plus

  • Energetic, team-oriented and proactive

  • High level of honesty, commitment and responsibility

  • Accustomed to working with deadlines

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Advanced communication skills with a tactful communication exchange and solid sense of diplomacy
