Paramount Manager, Software Engineering in Warsaw, Poland

What do we do:

Advertising in all formats is being reinvented through new business models and the combination of data, predictive analytics, optimization and other modern data science techniques. Our industry-leading Advanced Advertising platform is at the forefront of this reinvention of advertising and is currently looking for key new individuals to join our team!

You will be responsible for:

  • Improving Engineer Productivity and Satisfaction: contribution to a positive and supportive work culture, leading to increased job satisfaction and productivity among engineering teams,

  • Enhancing collaboration: strengthening relationships with peers from the streaming organization will lead to improved collaboration, knowledge exchange, and potential opportunities for joint initiatives,

  • Technical Excellence: your technical leadership will contribute to maintaining and elevating our technical standards, ensuring that we stay competitive in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

Engineer Development and Support:

  • Providing mentorship, guidance, and support to individual engineers to foster their professional growth,

  • Developing and implement training programs to improve technical skills and knowledge.

  • Ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and creativity,

  • Defining, improving and implementing processes related to the software development lifecycle, including style guidelines, code reviews, testing practices, build process, delivery and deployment.

Relationship Management:

  • Acting as a liaison between our engineering teams and counterparts in our organization,

  • Encouraging and maintaining solid relationships with peers to facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual support.

  • Finding opportunities for partnerships and collaboration on joint projects.

Technical Leadership:

  • Bringing a proven technical background to the role, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements,

  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to engineering teams,

  • Collaborating with other technical leaders to ensure alignment with overall technology strategy.

We are looking for people who have:

  • 7+ years of similar professional experience plus a Masters degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent professional experience,

  • 2+ years of experience in leading and mentoring engineers in the daily operations of application development, deployment and support,

  • Command of enterprise-scale design patterns,

  • Ability to choose appropriate technologies and strategies,

  • Knowledge of Agile Development and Product Management (e.g. Scrum, Lean, Kanban) methodologies and practices,

  • Expert knowledge of Python or JS/TS ecosystems, OOP, functional programming, and design patterns

  • High comfort in working with Unix/Linux environment and scripting languages,

  • Superb communication skills,

  • Very good English language skills (verbal and written).
