In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Leadership and Management:

  • Management responsibility over multiple software engineering teams.

  • Leading a direct organization and working cross functionally to deliver offerings to market successfully and supervising the day-to-day operations of the development site in Warsaw.

  • Fostering effective collaboration with international teams/sites, marketing, business, HR, and finance departments and providing strategic guidance and support to managers of various development and test teams.

  • Developing and implementing a compelling product development and technology vision aligned with marketing objectives.

  • Keeping the management team informed of program progress, proactively addressing issues to ensure organizational goals are met.

  • Cultivating a culture of innovation and intellectual property development by leading managers in creating and implementing ambitious yet realistic product development plans in coordination with other sites.

  • Guiding direct reports in identifying, managing, and mitigating risks, and proactively addressing potential product weaknesses.

Product Quality and Development:

  • Ensuring continuous improvement in product quality throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Driving personnel development through goal setting and performance reviews and recruiting top-tier talent to strengthen the development team.

  • Enforcing adherence to development processes, standards, and mentoring direct reports to enhance existing processes.

  • Collaborating with management team to achieve departmental objectives.

  • Staying informed about the competitive landscape, including key features of competitor products.

Customer Engagement:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and visiting at least one end user site per year.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience with a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.

  • 10+ years of professional experience in Cloud Operations/Cloud Infrastructure Engineering preferably in a multinational organization.

  • 7+ years of experience leading and developing engineering program focused teams of 50+.

  • Experience in leading and developing firmware, server applications, and transitions from server to cloud applications.

  • Technical Expertise : A strong background in full-cycle software development and maintenance within a product-centric environment. Solid understanding of contemporary software technologies, tools, and methodologies (e.g., C#, Java).

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Polish (C1+ level proficiency) to effectively convey complex ideas and vision.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and coach direct reports, empowering them to work effectively and achieve peak performance.

  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work varying hours to accommodate the needs of both local and remote teams, including occasional business travels to the United States.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of current innovative software development and test methodologies and tools.

  • Proficiency in German.
