Emerson Application Engineer in Warsaw, Poland
This is an exciting opening to work with both current and future technologies and innovations within our industry as a member of the Warsaw based Engineering team! Our Engineers have the opportunity to gain insight in the design, implementation, factory acceptance test and site installation/commissioning phases of our process control projects for of Power and Water Solutions (PWS).
As Application Engineer you will be creating application in DCS class system for Power Industry sector. Our Team members participate in projects at different stages including software development, tests with Customer, commissioning of system and application on site from IO checkout to cold and hot tests. This allows us not only to program application but also see it working in reality, helping in efficient power generation. This is also a highly developmental role comprising of formal, practical training and the acquisition of power industry related experience.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Assist under supervision in several project phases - System Configuration, Application Programming, Internal Testing / Simulation, FAT, System Installation, I/O Checkout and Functional Testing
Support datalinks startups (Modbus, IEC61850, Profibus etc.) and network equipment configuration (mainly CISCO)
Act as a Technical Support and Problem Solving Expert
Gain broad experience in Power Industry
Perform tasks / duties with balanced risk while strictly observing the „Business Ethics“ of the Emerson Process Management
Develop Professional and Personal competencies as well as knowledge about Emerson Products & Services
Complete other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor

For This Role, You Will Need:
Engineering degree or equivalent experience in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or Electronics
Interests in automation documented with projects done during studies or work experience
Knowledge of networking and industrial communication protocols
Strong digital literacy
Proficiency in Polish
Minimum B2 English (speaking and writing)
Ability to travel up to 40% of work time
Ability to generate immediate credibility with customer, suppliers and Emerson Projects and Services community
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Interest and experience in the field of automation hardware and software, I&C and processes - supported by the theme of the diploma thesis, internships, etc. would be a plus
Knowledge of other European languages is a plus
