Job Summary:
Performs a variety of maintenance duties for the entire facility, as assigned.
Primary Duties (5-7 Key responsibilities)
Working toward a high proficiency in at least one trade (i.e. Journeyman level HVAC, Plumbing, Electricity)
Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains, and repairs equipment, systems and facilities related to any craft or combination of the same, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment.
Performs other semi-skilled and skilled work in various trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, machinist work, etc.
Analyzes and correct building system problems, alone or as part of a team.
Assists in the completion of all normal and minor repairs and reports major problems to Supervisor
Responds to emergency problems in the facility and makes emergency repairs as needed
Maintain reporting logs for personal activity and machine activity
Serves as a member of the fire response team.
Assists in snow removal
Perform production machine repair and preventative maintenance
Operate motorized industrial equipment
Participate in department meetings and projects
Operate within standard operating procedures
Maintain neat, clean and well-organized work area
Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
This position reports directly to the Maintenance Group Lead and Supervisor, but if those are unavailable they are responsible for ensuring all contributors are working on their designated tasks, and offer support/shifting labor to cover when others are out. Must be able to work with limited Supervision.
Needs to be Profient in Electric 110v and 480v

Qualifications:
General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Good performance and safety records
Ability to work overtime as required
Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment guidelines
Experience in machinery repair with a combination of electrical, carpentry, pipefitting, and machine repair skills
Packaging equipment and forklift repair a plus
Must be able to read and work from mechanical and/or electrical schematic drawings, sketches, manuals, specifications, and written or oral instructions
Must be able to use hand and power tools and other equipment necessary to complete assignments
Detail oriented
Possess good organizational skills
Ability to pass the motorized industrial equipment test and obtain operator’s license
Safety shoes required
Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up 50 pounds on a regular basis
Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate. Warehouse temperature may reach up to 90 degrees during the Summer months.
Education And/Or experience:
High School Diploma/GED
2+ years of relevant experience
