About the Opportunity

Jacobs are a 50 / 50 Joint Venture (JV) Partner with contractor Volker Stevin and strategic sub-contractors, together forming C2V+. to deliver projects for our client United Utilities. (UU)

As a part of our highly successful and busy water team we are currently seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Commercial Manager to support the C2V+ JV. The role will be based at our clients office at Lingley Mere (Warrington) on a hybrid basis.

Reporting to the Commercial Lead, you will provide Commercial/Financial management and support to a team of up to 15 commercial staff on a tranche of projects totalling £80+m. Formulate and provide commercial and financial information to enable effective negotiation and resolution of outstanding and on-going commercial issues including compensation events and payments. Provide support to United Utilities (Client) on forecasting payments; commercial status of projects within the Tranche and advice to Senior Leadership Team/JV Board. Provide central point of contact to control supply chain activity in accordance with the supply chain policy.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Qualified QS/Accountant with proven post qualified experience.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills along with excellent people management skills

  • NEC Contract knowledge including D&B, excellent financial and commercial skills

  • Ability to develop client confidence

  • Effective team leader

  • Previous experience managing commercial/financial teams
