Description

The Sr. GIS/DBA Enterprise Specialist at ENTRUST plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, including portal configuration, maintenance, and overall management. This position involves overseeing GIS/IT architecture, SQL server, and database management, with a focus on data management, advanced analytical workflows, programming, database administration, and technical system architecture. A strong understanding of the software development life cycle is essential, as well as the ability to plan and execute upgrades and deployments while identifying interdependencies with other related software and hardware.

In this role, you will manage and support ENTRUST’s ArcGIS Enterprise, ensuring that the GIS environment and related data are up to date and meet user needs. You will provide technical support and assistance to GIS users, monitor database performance and capacity, and implement measures to improve security and efficiency. Additionally, you will create GIS programming applications, geoprocessing tools, and develop dynamic solutions for GIS user workflows.

You will support the Manager in executing project goals, including scope, schedule, functional requirements, deliverables, testing plans, and participate in RFC/CAB reviews under the supervision of the GIS Manager. Other project management responsibilities include collaborating with highly specialized personnel within specific framework domains, planning and executing upgrades and deployments, and identifying interdependencies with other related software and hardware. Building relationships with internal stakeholders to support data management and GIS technology solutions to complex projects involving various skill groups is essential.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 years + experience in GIS, preferably as Portal Admin, GIS/IT architecture, and ArcGIS Enterprise.

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in IT/GIS related discipline

  • Five years’ experience with GIS development, SQL Server, database administration, python, java and ArcGIS Enterprise configuration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise and other spatial platforms for analysis and data management.

  • Strong verbal and written communications.

  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive; able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities.

  • Ability to multitask and be attentive to detail and quality.

  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas/instructions with appropriate tools/products.

  • Ability to be innovative and forward thinking while finding solutions to the client’s issues.

  • Ability to be self-motivated and a strong team player.

  • Ability to develop efficient quality solutions with limited supervision.

  • Ability to ensure that ENTRUST processes and procedures are followed.

  • Ability to communicate proactively and effectively with the GIS Manager, IT, and support team.

  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with managers, peers, clients, and customers.
