Emergency Preparedness Specialist or Sr Emergency Preparedness Specialist

Expected salary range of the Emergency Preparedness Specialist is $89,100 to $99,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Expected salary range of the Sr Emergency Preparedness Specialist is $102,600 to $118,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

Provides leadership and management of EP functions, programs and processes in assigned functional area. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry standards and regulations. Performs advanced program development, maintenance, and planning in support of the EP program. Is responsible for technical-decision making and problem solving related to emergency preparedness and response

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Provides leadership and in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement emergency preparedness activities and programs.

  • Supports the drill and exercise program by performing scheduling, scenario development, evaluation, report generation and disposition of findings.

  • Provide complete task management of EP issues.

  • Provides EP Management Model oversight of assigned sites.

  • Supports EP work functions, such as drills and exercises.

Emergency Preparedness Specialist - Job Code XVDE E02 Level

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in technical field and a minimum 2 years industry experience OR

· Applicable Professional certification (i.e., Licensed Operator, CHP, CEM) and 4 years industry experience OR

· Associates Degree in technical field with 6 years industry experience directly related to EP

Sr Emergency Preparedness Specialist - Job Code XVDC E03 Level

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in technical field and 6 years industry experience OR

· Applicable Professional certification (i.e., Licensed Operator, CHP, CEM) and 6 years industry experience OR

· Associates Degree with 8 years industry experience, 3 of the 8 years must be at the exempt level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Nuclear Operations and/or Radiation Protection and/or Training Experience

  • Emergency Preparedness Experience

Emergency Preparedness Specialist - Job Code XVDC

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in Nuclear Operations and/or Radiation Protection and/or Training Experience

  • Emergency Preparedness Experience
