Expected salary range of $108,000 to $120,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Serve as a community engagement liaison to local plant communities. Lead direct engagement with residents (Town Halls, Community Info Nights, etc) and community leaders (e.g., nonprofits, faith organizations, schools, local business owners). Manage local charitable giving and employee volunteerism. Work closely with state government affairs, Generation Communications and site leadership to promote ways Constellation benefits the community and support their stakeholder relations efforts. Support philanthropy team goals in alignment with company growth strategy, including but not limited to: charitable contributions, civic sponsorships, employee giving, employee volunteering, executive board placements, event management, and local community relations. Monitor and evaluate activities to ensure they support overall business strategy, goals, and brand. Collaborate across the team and enterprise to achieve goals, while developing and supporting an environment that promotes diversity, high productivity and professional development.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop and activate community engagement plan, encompassing the following elements: Community Relations manager must maintain regular physical presence in the local community to lead activation and relationship building.
Partner with Government Affairs to build cohesive strategy across stakeholders in support of broader community.
Build strategies for two-way dialogue and listening to local community needs. For example, includes: Identify and build relationships with key local community leaders and organizations; Host community information nights; Lead Clean Energy Center tours for community partners and groups; Conduct and/or share survey insights; Develop and implement communications approach, such as web, local social media accounts, etc.
Lead local community involvement and related public relations efforts. For example: Develop and activate local communication strategy and tactics; Local press releases; Outreach to local schools; Public speaking; Attend key community events.
Build cross-functional teams to integrate community relations strategy and activities into internal communications, public relations and marketing plans, position the company and support the brand.
Lead local philanthropy and employee volunteerism by managing and administering growing site and surrounding regional sites philanthropy. For example: Build relationships with local nonprofit leaders; Lead and administer local philanthropy budget (Identify partners, Consult internal and external stakeholders, Develop philanthropy recommendations, Confirm appropriate approvals, Enter vouchers, Communication and support with nonprofits). Leading and supporting volunteer opportunities for local employees that includes: coordinating event, supporting Powering Communities posting, volunteer tshirts, etc. Supporting employee giving campaign at local sites. Leading local storytelling for philanthropy and volunteerism to build reputation and brand.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, business, or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years relevant experience in private sector or nonprofit community affairs, public relations or related area.
Skill requirements: excellent written and verbal communications, strategic planning, project development and management, relationship development, event planning and management, digital proficiency.
Established network of community relationships and familiarity with community issues and leaders in local area.
Ability to maintain a regular physical presence in the assigned community.
Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust and work effectively with internal and external customers.
Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries.
Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and also to work in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with digital applications to include Word, Excel, Power Point, Office.
Flexibility to work some nights and weekends.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, business, or related discipline.
