JOB SUMMARY This position, in coordination with program leadership, is responsible for cultivating opportunities and partnerships in support of future SAE ITC Rail programs. Business Development activities include, but are not limited to: stakeholder identification and targeting; establishing, building and developing business relationships; identification of and support in pursuit of new revenue opportunities; and marketing for program representation at internal and external events. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Execution of the SAE ITC Business Development strategy for the Rail sector, which includes: membership and business growth targeting for existing programs; approaching stakeholders (focus on cold outreach); scheduling and conducting stakeholder meetings. Represents the organization at trade organizations, on committees, and during board meetings, when necessary. Build and develop high-level relationships with relevant technical and management stakeholders in industry, government, and research organizations. Develop and maintain the SAE ITC Business Development strategy for the Rail sector Identifying and pursuing opportunities for new SAE ITC programs, products and services related to rail rolling stock and infrastructure including identifying and developing strategic partnerships, government funding proposals, and applicable grant activities Preparation and facilitation of stakeholder meetings together with technical and organizational leaders. Coordinates marketing activities in support of Business Development strategy not limited to collateral, social media, and press. Responsible for managing the travel budget for the business unit. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelors degree in Business 7 years experience in B2B business development Experience working in or with the rail industry Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent relationship management skills Strong self-motivation skills Overall understanding of the rail industry Understanding of standards for train monitoring systems in the EU, Asia and North America and safety requirements based on EN 50128 Strong organizational skills Strong computer skills including MS Office and typical office applications PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in Business 10 years experience in B2B business development Experience with new technology for advanced mobility Experience facilitating groups and projects Existing, strong professional network in rail Understanding of the principles of association management, and industry standards development process and organizations Proficient in Customer Relationship Management software like Salesforce WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 35% Travel ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION Fullsight is an integrated brand of our three primary affiliate companies - SAE Industry Technologies Consortia, SAE International and Performance Review Institute - and their subsidiaries.
