It will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors North American electric vehicle applications.

Job Description:

The Supply Chain Engineering Change Specialist is responsible for executing deliverables in support of the Supply Chain organization’s business objectives, by managing material changes including but not limited to: Part, Packaging, and Process.

The Supply Chain Engineering Change Specialist will interface with Purchasing, Quality, Materials, Production, Facility, and other various disciplines to establish estimated breakpoints in multiple systems and resolve issues and roadblocks that impact Engineer Change Request (ECR) breakpoints. Work closely with internal and external functional leads to ensure a smooth transition of breakpoints that impact material inventory and schedules.

You will act as a liaison between Purchasing, Supply Chain, Warehousing/Manufacturing, Logistics and Facility to resolve issues and to provide support.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain Plan for Every Part (PFEP) and Material Master for Supply Chain.

• Administer GQMS Change Management system for Engineer Change Request (ECR), Engineer Change Order (ECO), and Engineer Change Notification (ECN)

• Develop and maintain Material Change Log for change control process of all key actions.

• Responsible for tracking part changes and timing in reference to historical records.

• Responsible for communicating and coordinating through weekly meetings with stakeholders to ensure adequate planning prior to change dates.

• Represent Supply Chain at cross-functional ECR Implementation Team or issue resolution meetings, including working with others to obtain breakpoint direction and resolve issues.

• Coordinate and support flawless launches of engineering changes for part, packaging, and process with multiple departments/functions to ensure:

o Timely instruction of changes

o Process alignment

o No negative impact to production

o Schedules are correct with no disruption to material flow

o Minimize obsolescence of replaced parts while minimizing the risk of plant shut down

• Work with Supply Chain Coordinators for 4M order placement, inventory tracking, and verify 4M status

• Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, or related field experience

• 1-year prior experience managing changes in a manufacturing environment

• Project Management experience preferred

• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Open to learning multiple system

• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

• Continuous Improvement mentality

• Team player with flexible attitude and ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks/deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to adhere to all processes and procedures.

• Highly organized, attention to detail.

• Ability to work on cross-functional teams with a high degree of self-initiative.
