Ultium Cells Overview:

Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. This $2.3 billion investment will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors’ North American electric vehicle applications.

Job Description:

This position will be part of a technical team responsible for all aspects of shipping and receiving docks, that includes continuous improvement, investigating and troubleshooting equipment problems, analyzing shipping results, implementing and improving shipping and receiving methods and processes, and ensuring high yield and productivity in a highly automated manufacturing environment. His/her functions will also include interaction with internal and external customers, hourly employees, production personal, and to solve urgent and complex problems by identifying and evaluating alternatives to provide support of all shipping and receiving as required. Position requires some on-call support.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance for plant safety and environmental regulations

• Engage with external customers to resolve issues

• Support Team Members and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the shipping or processing of goods

• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine shipping requirements to our customers. Collaborate with other leaders to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

• Support and train team to Inspect materials, proper labeling of products for shipping, receiving and checking in and accounting for incoming materials.

• Support and facilitate team-based problem solving

• Observe key performance indicators of work area

• WPO of office and standards

• Adhere to company policies and procedures

• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Minimum: Specialist must be computer savvy

• Fluent in Excel, Microsoft Office.

• Be open to learning programs used by Ultium Cells

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
