The ideal candidate must possess 3 to 5 siding detailing and construction observation experience. The candidate must have a good understanding of installation details for various siding types including vinyl siding, fiber cement siding and PVC siding. Experience with wood framing systems, stucco, EIFs, decks, balconies (Duradek / Dectec) is a plus.Job Summary The Siding Inspector-Project Manager is responsible for understanding the installation requirements of various siding types including vinyl siding, fiber cement siding, PVC siding, performing the necessary inspections and overseeing siding installations.  This is a technical position to support architectural and engineering projects.Responsibilities and Duties:Monitoring the contractor work for conformance to project specifications.Working as our client’s representative on site during work, reviewing contractor invoices, reviewing and processing change orders, RFI’s, construction, siding installation documents, etc.Understanding the specifications, conducting on-site inspections and documenting existing conditions, photographing, and observing work in progress.Maintaining organized records, files, drawings, or other data essential to the project and ensure they are complete and stored appropriately.Assist in preparation of cost projections based on work completed to date during siding installation projects.  Preparing written correspondence for clients, contractors, etc.Working closely with teams to understand the scope of work, budget, goals, deliverables, and timeline to ensure project success.Performing other related duties as assigned.QualificationsEducationThorough understanding of siding installation details for various siding types including vinyl siding, fiber cement siding, PVC siding required.Work Experience3-5 years of experience in the construction/architectural/engineering consulting industry inspecting/reviewing siding installation is required. Experience with wood framing systems, stucco, EIFS, decks, balconies (Duradek/Dectec) is a plus.Licenses and CertificationsValid United States Driver’s License required, as this position requires travel to and from client sites.SkillsStandard written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at same time.Ability to interact in a professional manner with clients and colleagues.Ability to attend client meetings and events, as needed.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings & detail specifications.Understanding of siding installation details for various siding types including vinyl siding, fiber cement siding & PVC siding Ability to work individually or with team members and work collaboratively with other disciplines. Ability to work in the field and to travel outside local areas as workload and projects when needed.Ability to manage time and within project budget.Ability to:Safely work at heights (fall protection & safety equipment provided).Work on suspended scaffolding on the exterior of the building high above ground (secured and protected).Safely use and/or operate ladders, scaffolds, lifts and other access equipment.EMPLOYEE BENEFITSWe offer competitive salaries, professional work environments and a comprehensive benefits package.
