TEC Group Inc Maintenance Technician II in Warren, Michigan

Responsibility: Adequately train other techs to ensure they are performing up to standard. As a Maintenance Tech II you will be required to mentor other techs to ensure adherence to equipment standards and safety regulations. • Assists maintenance supervisor in identifying deficiencies in training and development for team members. • Maintain a clean, safe work environment. Consistently addresses good safety practices with team members and will take immediate action should there be any safety violations committed. • Ensure consistent execution of job rotation through proper management and appropriate verification. • Lead pre-production exercises, manage full-line rotation and 5S implementation. • Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production equipment. • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical breakdowns. • Operates power hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment. • Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades. • Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks. • Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Engineering as needed. • Be able to learn and function all automated equipment. • Lead your area in continuous improvement, while accepting full ownership for area responsibility. • Demonstrate a positive approach and actively participate in various meetings. • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustment of machines. • Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. • Work to maintain department KPI.

• Support all Quality Improvement Team functions in a proactive manner, concentrating on elimination of internal and external customer concerns. • To assist the Controls Engineer with troubleshooting issues on the equipment. • To help improve Overall Equipment Efficiency by using innovative ways to improve processes and equipment. • Works as a buffer between Controls and Maintenance to solve fewer complex issues with the automated equipment. • Able to read and diagnose issues using electrical schematics.

REQUIREMENTS: • Must be able to work overtime when necessary. • A working knowledge of JIT processes and JTDS is essential. • Some lifting of heavy objects is required (up to 30 lbs). • Line and shift assignment is at the discretion of the Department Manager

Be able to learn and function all automated equipment. • Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production equipment. • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical breakdowns. • Operates power hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment. • Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades. • Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks. • Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Engineering as needed. • Performs basic PLC troubleshooting on automated systems, using ladder logic and relay logic, minus any editing of logic. • Can understand and troubleshoot automation devices such as RFID, I/O modules, pneumatic valves, various sensors, VFD's, etc. • Able to identify and understand all automation devices and hardware at an intermediate level. • Is an expert at all tasks of a Maintenance Tech 1. • Is proficient at Robotic functionality and troubleshooting.
