Amentum Foreign Military Sales Assistant Program Manager (Project Manager) in Warren, Michigan
Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Foreign Military Sales Assistant Program Manger in the Army’s the Joint Program Office Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, Program Executive Office (PEO) Combat Support and Combat Service Support (CS&CSS). This position is currently hybrid, typically with 1 day a week in the office at the Detroit Arsenal. This arrangement could change based on the requirements of the government client. Other duties may be assigned to support client and contract deliverables. This position is not yet funded, position contingent upon funding award.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the government with all Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities in support of current and future international Program efforts.
Assist the Government with early FMS case development.
Provide support to FMS policy development efforts to include interaction with DASA-DEC, USASAC, and the rest of the Security Assistance Enterprise.
Support Government efforts to develop requirements, multi-years budgets, and acquisition strategies for managed platforms supporting both new production and Army reset programs.
Assist the Government in developing internal FMS policy as required as well as ensuring all PEO PMs are aligned.
Other deliverables based on contract requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience with military or government related duties.
Master’s Degree with 2+ years of military or government related duties.
4+ years familiarity with FMS preferably in a Government Acquisition program.
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Program Management (PM) awareness.
Clearance: Secret Clearance is Required. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Government Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience with military or government related duties.
Master’s Degree with 4+ years of military or government related duties.
Experience in FMS case management, or support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) is desired.
Knowledge of the principles, policies, and practices of system acquisition to plan, organize, and coordinate critical aspects of the development, production, deployment, and sustainment of systems, subsystems, and equipment.
