General Motors Assistant Manager, Marketing Operations (Martech & Content Production) in Warren, Michigan

Job Description

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center- Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager for Marketing Operations to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in standing up and managing a new content production platform, collaborating and working closely with our Martech team and external agency. Your primary focus will be to ensure the seamless integration of this platform into our marketing organization working across our Brand, Performance Driven Marketing, Media and agency teams. The Assistant Manager, Marketing Operations will also help lead the optimization of workflows, and support the creation of high-quality content/assets that drives engagement and business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the Martech team and external agency

  • Manage the integration of the new platform with existing marketing tools and systems. Help configure and maintain the platform, ensuring smooth operation and adoption

  • Partner with agency Project Management/Account teams, to oversee the definition of deliverables and project schedules

  • Work with brands and agencies to facilitate efficient content production workflows – developing and documenting workflows for content creation, approval, and distribution

  • Assist in training the marketing team members on using the new platform effectively

  • Track and report on key performance metrics related to content production and platform usage

  • Collaborate with agency and Martech team to monitor content production processes and recommend improvements based on data and insights

  • Foster a collaborative environment to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes

  • Conduct regular meetings and updates to keep all stakeholders informed of progress and developments

  • Identify critical timeline issues and implications (internally or externally driven) with viable solutions to address challenges with stakeholders.

  • Implements and adheres to GM process and enforce it within the team and agency partners

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5 years plus years of experience in marketing, with a focus on digital marketing and content production

  • Experience working with martech tools and platforms, such as content management systems and marketing automation tools

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, specifically martech, media, brands and agency partners

  • Understanding of media trafficking, measurement, and operations, including familiarity with tracking/reporting tools

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
