Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Warren, Michigan
Description
Robert Half is seeking a permanent Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an essential part of a company's rapidly growing team. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, your duties will include matching (3-way), batching, and coding invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks. The job site for the permanent Accounts Payable Clerk is in the Warren, Michigan area.
Key responsibilities
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Carry out a full-cycle A/P
Help with internal and external audits as required
Perform special projects as assigned
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Requirements
Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar is required
Command of batching
Strong familiarity with Construction Industry
Comprehensive knowledge of 3 Way Matching
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
