PCI Aviation Mechanical Engineer - 175 in Warner Robins, Georgia

Duties and Responsibilities

Systems Engineer to provide engineering and technical support for ongoing and future C-130 aircraft mechanical systems. Must be knowledgeable in the Aerospace Engineering aspects of the operation, integration, and installation design of aircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems on fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Must have experience in performing structural analysis, and have an understanding of aircraft structural, aerodynamic properties, aerospace components in new or modified aircraft, including navigation, cargo, and engine system design requirements.

  • TO Request Change (RC) Response
  • Hangar Discrepancy Auto 202 and TO 00-25-107 Response
  • Airworthiness Process, Compliance and Certification
  • Aerospace/Mechanical Theory, Maintenance Practices, Modification, and Operations
  • Engineering IT Tools and Databases/System

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelors degree and/ or Masters in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • 4 - 9 years of directly related Aerospace Engineering experience.
  • Must have C-130 experience.
  • May be required to undergo a standard background check along with verification of education requirements

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.

To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
