Robert Half Process Controls Technician in Walton, Kentucky

Description

We are seeking a Process Controls Technician to join our team in the Manufacturing industry based in Walton, Kentucky. This role involves assisting in the design and implementation of automated systems for diverse manufacturing and production environments. The successful candidate will support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades and troubleshoot complex technical problems with automated systems.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the creation and implementation of automated systems for use in diverse manufacturing and production environments, such as batching controllers, vision inspection systems, and robotics.

• Assist in the development and implementation of data loggers to interface with ERP systems.

• Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems with automated systems, including robotic applications, database, server problems, programmable controllers, and other automation devices.

• Identify and repair malfunctions in equipment and determine potential causes for these malfunctions.

• Utilize PLC software such as Rockwell Automation Factory Talk and similar software to modify and create automation programs.

• Program VFD's and use software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Visio.

• Read and interpret technical documents.

• Maintain basic computer proficiency, such as data entry and Microsoft Office programs.

• Uphold safe working practices around moving and electrical equipment.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical engineering role within the manufacturing industry

• Demonstrable expertise in Backup Technologies

• Proven skills in Configuration Management

• Proficiency in Automation Frameworks

• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Willingness to continually update knowledge and skillset in line with technological advancements in the industry

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
