Job Description
Purpose/Summary
The Global Events Manager will drive Evident business objectives by coordinating global, national, and local trade shows, marketing seminars, and other events. This role involves participating in the strategic planning process for event management and selection and developing strategies to align performance and attendance with business goals to maximize ROI. A key responsibility of the Global Marketing Manager is tracking and analyzing metrics to measure event success. Additionally, this manager will assist in marketing, promotional, and other opportunities as needed.
Job Duties
Primary duties and responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Implementation
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and stakeholders to develop and implement event strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Select and prioritize events based on impact and ROI.
- Event Coordination & Management
Plan and execute trade shows, seminars, and events, including design, logistics, and pre-show activities.
Coordinate on-site operations and oversee post-show reporting.
- Budgeting & Financial Management
Manage the annual budget for events, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
Review regional sponsorships for alignment with business strategies.
- Lead Management & Reporting
Ensure prompt entry of trade show leads into Salesforce for ROI evaluation.
Track and distribute marketing leads to relevant teams.
- Policy & Compliance
- Implement policies related to event programs, ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to develop promotional campaigns and show experiences.
- Logistics & Operations
- Maintain the events calendar and plan on-site receptions or brand awareness activities.
- Exhibit & Display Management
- Update trade show displays to support branding and lead generation while controlling costs.
- Comprehensive Planning
- Develop an annual trade show and events plan, covering all logistics and staffing.
- Other Duties or projects to support marketing and events strategy.
Job Requirements
Minimum qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a similar field of study, or equivalent work experience required.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years' experience in corporate marketing or revenue marketing required. B2B experience with planning and running event in an industrial industry is a plus.
Behavioral skills
Skills:
Proven experience managing revenue-generating campaigns, both for events and across various digital channels.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with global marketing leads and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to drive positive outcomes and achieve strategic goals.
Develop and execute marketing strategies that delivered measurable results, maximizing return on investment (ROI).
Expertise in analyzing campaign performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance overall effectiveness.
Utilize data-driven insights to refine marketing tactics, resulting in increased engagement, lead generation, and conversion rates.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
Superior project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment.
Skilled at identifying and evaluating creative ideas, focusing on those that will create a competitive advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, flexible, and team-oriented style.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
