Change Grow Live Young Person's Resilience Worker in Walsall, United Kingdom

Advert Transitional worker, 18 to 25 years – The Beacon Walsall

CGL are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity to develop your professional career within creative, exciting and demanding organisation, delivering The Beacon, Walsall Integrated Adult and Young Peoples Recovery Service.

The post holder will be part of the Walsall Integrated Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services; sitting specifically within the Young Persons element, providing assessment, advice, care planned treatment and support to under 19 year olds experiencing serious and complex substance related problems in the Borough of Walsall. The transitional role specially works with young people transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. Supporting adults in a young person focused way.

You will support individuals through the transition into adult services and also transition in to paid employment and/or relevant training, education or occupation/diversionary activities that can best support there ongoing needs.

You will work closely with families, parents & carers and work in a supportive and collaborative partnership approach with other relevant health, social care and criminal justice agencies, including Walsall Manor Hospital and Youth Offending Team.

You will contribute to providing high quality services, with a focus on performance and positive outcomes for service users, including a responsibility to understanding and contribute to the service performance and achievement of key targets and outcomes.

You will be expected to take an active part in your own development through the CRI supervision and Personal Development Framework

The post holder will also deliver group work to children and young people and deliver training and consultation to professionals on referral processes and screening.

Fixed term - 12 months - internal secondments considered.
