FM Senior General Adjuster in WALNUT CREEK, California

As a Senior General Adjuster within the claims team of San Francisco Operations, you will :

  • Provide experienced and knowledgeable technical leadership advice resulting in consistent application of insurance policies in areas of coverage and measurement.

  • Grow relationships through advising, mentoring, coaching, interaction, and training Operations Claims personnel.

  • Investigate and be responsible for the settlement of complex multi-million dollar claims in an equitable manner to the satisfaction of the client, and FM as well as assisting the client with salvage, restoration of production, claims preparation and subrogation.

  • Assist the Operation by serving as a member of the account team in areas of policy clause construction, deductible application, and insurable value analysis.

  • Assist the account team in establishing and maintaining long term relationships with the client.

  • Mentor adjusters on their assigned losses within or outside the operation, or during catastrophes.

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any field), Physics, Chemistry, Accounting, Mathematics, Risk Management or related field of study, and 5 years of experience in any job title/occupation/position handling complex property and business interruption loss adjustments.

Experience specified must include 5 years of experience with each of the following: mentoring and training claims personnel; handling losses in high challenge occupancies (ex: pulp & paper mfg., mining, power-gen, molten materials, etc.); and handling commercial property insurance losses amounting $15 million or more.

Experience specified must include 3 years of experience with legal practices, pertinent law, and losses subject to litigation. Requires up to 50 - 60% domestic travel to client sites.

The salary range for this position is $143,700 - $242,500.The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience.
